Floating & Fishing, Warm Beer & Whiskey - A Fond Reverie
Two millennial men,
this is their Zen.
Floating in the sea,
a fond reverie.
Their vessels plastic and small,
but their friendship and love for the moment buoyant and tall.
Waiting for that rod to tug,
as the anticipation builds - warm beer and whiskey they chug.
Warm beer and whiskey you say?
What is an inconvenience to others - nay - they call play.
As the warm liquid washes their dry throats,
stories and laughter ring like musical notes.
Human beings enjoying God’s playground,
floating the ocean and embracing its sound.
Ah, a fish on their hook!
For a moment, time pauses as they look!
As the shiny creature comes aboard,
the men clasp hands and exalt the Lord.
This is harmony,
and in moments like these they feel so free.
Two friends at sea,
enjoying each other’s company.
